Hello and welcome to The Creative Camera. As you’ll quickly find out, this is not the hallowed pages of the magazine by the same name, sadly now defunct, but the ramblings of a sixty something street / candid photographer living in Torquay here in the South West of England. The idea is simple, write about things I love, whether that be related to photography, experimental in nature, using old gear, working with and using software, and indeed, talking about the photographers I enjoy. If you want to comment on anything I write, feel free, even if you want to disagree or pick me up on something you feel I’ve got wrong. In truth, I’m wrong a lot! Just ask my wife!! |
“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’ll never get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”— Don McCullin |
“Of course, it’s all luck”– Henri Cartier-Bresson |
