Back Story – From the Artist

This piece was captured on a quiet, solitary walk. The air was cold and crisp, the kind that sharpens the senses and slows the mind into a gentler rhythm. Two autumn leaves caught my eye — glowing gold and green against the purply‑blue hush of the woodland behind them. Their colours were astonishing, almost luminous in the cool morning light. Standing there in the stillness, with no noise and no company, just the soft rustle of branches and the quiet beauty of these two leaves holding their place in the vastness of the woods, it felt like a small moment worth keeping.

Back at the studio, I refined the image in ON1, this is my go to post-processing software for my photography and then I used Dynamic Auto Painter to help shape the gentle watercolour character that suited the moment so well.  The final result I feel is a fitting reminder of that fleeting moment in time.
